Nominated for Best of Best work by NAFA

To help international freshman better assimilate to their new home cities, Finding Singapore is a mobile application that groups them with their seniors and sends them on Quests. On these Quests, students can learn local customs and culture through purposeful, educational activities that focus on financial management and acclimatization. Participation in Quests accelerates the familiarization process between the students and their new home cities, and in turn puts students in a position to live more independent, stress free lives.

Playground

In collaboration with Nicholas Soh Erolani

Growing up in New York City, I always had a deep appreciation for basketball. Everyone played at school and in the parks, it was everywhere. It was only until I arrived in Singapore, however, that I realized I had taken basketball for granted. I could always count on finding people to play against whenever I went to the park in New York, Singapore (as I found out) was completely different. Getting your kakis to come together for a game here is a task in itself, with excuses and lateness dampening the excitement of the evening to begin with. Even then, once you have your team ready to play, it's not even guaranteed that you can find opponents or a court to play on. I wanted to streamline this process and make it easy to play sports so I came up with PLAYGROUND, an app that connects you to other amateur athletes to make your games a lot easier to organize.

Playground not only helps you organize games with other people looking to play one but even makes tournaments easy through simple user experience.

With these in place, it's easy to organize events with cash prizes. By monetizing amateur sports, we can stimulate the growth of an industry that sees about a billion dollars of revenue in Singapore alone.dogs to a level of esteem that encourages adoption. We named the breed "Singapura Special", with the intention of having it emulate the same level of dignity that other national breeds exude (e.g. the german shepherd, the British bulldog).

Other features in PLAYGROUND include: an online store, access to professional services (nutrition & fitness), and an event booking system. PLAYGROUND aims to end games being the end-all-be-all for amateur athletes. Beyond occasional playtime and tournaments, PLAYGROUND offers amateur athletes with a means of improving their game and taking the next steps in being a better basketballer, boxer, or even swimmer.

Fish

Concept

Fishes have been my one of my interests since I was a child. We would add new fishes to our collection every other week and we would learn about them. This fish store concept tries to make collecting and learning about pet fishes more easily.

Cathay

Looking at Cathay Cineplex's current basic mobile app, I was inspired to redesign the user interface into something more intuitive and immersive. Users can easily navigate and see information about Now Showing movies and other films.
